Warning: Shaved Head Ahead!

Well, I did it! And it wasn't so bad! I was actually very pleased with the experience. I honestly didn't know how I would react. I was a little worried I might just fall apart at the sight of my head being shaved.
Actually, it was really quite liberating having it gone. Seeing how quickly I was starting to lose it (the hair on my head, not my mind!), I just felt so good knowing I don't have to worry about it anymore!
It was funny- the girls in the salon kept telling me what a beautiful head I have! Looking at the pictures, it isn't bad! Just makes my face look a little fatter, but it's a healthy look, right?!? Haha!
I want to say thanks again to those who have walked this path before me and gave me encouragement to do this. It really is so much better than having to have it fall out in clumps.
Now I'm anxious to see if my doggies bark at me when we get home, without the wig on! Hopefully no one else will be too bothered by seeing the pictures here... But if you are- well too bad! It's me, and I'm ok with it! Really!
So here's the before, during, after and wig pictures...

Oh, I kinda like this look! :-)

Almost done... and I'm still smiling!

And there it is... Whew! Don't cry! I'm not!

This is NOT the before picture!!!! I love my wig! Still a little nervous about wearing it, but I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be getting used to it!

You look rad with a shaved head, and when your hair grows back you may want to consider that look in pic #4! (Makes you look like a teenager!) But you were right about the wig--it's a good one!

Thanks, June! I just might go with that look! But for now, at least I have the wig to wear when I want to sport some hair!
Happy Birthday to you, June!

Wig looks great. I had one when they were popular (quite a few moons ago) and remember how easy it was to style it when it was there in front of you.

Thanks Betty! I'm getting used to the wig, but kinda prefer nothing on my head when I'm at home!
Was yours a long hair wig? I guess those were the "in" thing back in the day!

O, thank you, Phyllis! It's not a bad as I thought it would be! Guess all vanity has gone out the back door! Although, I do wear my wig when I'm out.
Hope you had a good ol' Irish kind of day!

Oh Wow! that looks so natural Lois, so much like you! If you didn't tell me I would never know that was a wig. Great match! Course, you could get wild and go blond! Hang in there, you are doing great.

Another vote for look number 4! The wig is a strong runner up, though:)
